The Folkestone Academy is sponsored by Sir Roger De Haan, and by Kings School Canterbury, one of the country’s leading independent schools.

Designed by international award-winning architects Foster and Partners, the Academy buildings are amongst the finest in the County.

Folkestone Film, TV and Comic Con will be completly on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible in all areas. 

The Folkestone Academy has 240 free parking spaces and is easily accessable by public transport. 

The Car Park has some disabled spaces available. And is right next to the entrance.

(All parking is on a first come first served basis, no spaces can be reserved)

BUS ROUTE TO FFCC

The best route is the 127 (Purple on the below map) to Lucy Avenue as this stops very close to the venue and runs every hour.

You can take the 73 (Light green on the map) to Sainsuburys Park Farm and follow the signs to the Academy (5 Minute walk) Runs every 30 Minutes.

DRIVING AND WALKING DIRECTIONS

Driving Route – M20 Junction 13

 

From the North (Dover Bound). Heading east on M20 at Junction 13, take the A20 to Folkestone. At the 1st Roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Castle Hill Bridge/A20. At the 2nd Roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Churchill Ave/A259. Follow the A259 for 0.5 mile/2 min. At the Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Park Farm Rd. At the 2nd Roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on Park Farm Road. After 312 ft turn right onto Kingsmead (McDonalds and Home Bargains) and continue for 0.2 miles into Academy Lane where you will find the car park.

 

From the South (London Bound). Heading Southwest on A20 take the A20 exit towards Folkestone, after Round hill Tunnel. At the Roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Churchill Ave/A259. . Follow the A259 for 0.5 mile/2 min. At the Roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Park Farm Rd. At the 2nd Roundabout, take the 1st exit and stay on Park Farm Road. After 312ft turn right onto Kingsmead (McDonalds and Home Bargains) and continue for 0.2 miles into Academy Lane where you will find the car park.

 

Note - Stewards will be on-site during the day to direct you to the parking area. There are 240 parking spaces based on a first come, first served basis. Parking is at the driver’s risk, Planet Folkestone and The Folkestone Academy take no responsibility for any lose or damages.

 

 

Walking Route from Folkestone Central Train Station

 

Coming out of the train station turn left onto the A259, and then an immediate left again at the Roundabout. Continue along Cheriton Road

Take the 3rd turning on the right onto Cornwallis Ave. Continue along this road leading onto William Ave until you reach a mini roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout onto Lucy Ave, and continue along. The Academy will be on your right.

 

Walking Route from Folkestone West Train Station

 

Turn left onto Shornecliffe Rd. After 171 ft. turn left onto Beachborough Rd/B2064 and follow for 0.1 miles.. Turn right onto Cheriton Rd/A2034 and follow for 0.4 miles. After passing Morrison’s on the left, take the next turning on the left, Cornwallis Ave. Continue down Cornwallis Ave and onto William Avenue. At the Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Lucy Avenue. The Academy will be on your right.

 

Walking Route from the Bus Station

 

At Middleburg Square/A2033, after the bus station take a slight right onto Cheriton Gardens. Continue along Cheriton Gardens, cross over the pedestrian crossings, and bear left down Cheriton Road.

Continue to the end of the road (Church on your left). Turn right onto A259, go under the railway bridge and turn left at the roundabout on to Cheriton Road/A2034, continue along this road

Take the 3rd turning on the right onto Cornwallis Ave. Continue along this road leading onto William Ave until you reach a mini roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout onto Lucy Ave, and continue along. The academy will be on your right
